Me and my wife came all the way from Finland to NYC and went to this gig. We were fans of Wolfmother's 1st cd and the new one was released on the previous week in Finland. I made some research of Erika's band and we were really looking forward to seeing The Heartless Bastards as well. We became immediate fans of the Heartless Bastards after their gig. Their set made an impression! So I had to chase their cd's although we couldn't find good music shops from Manhattan(!). Wolfmother's killer riffs started the crowd jumping from the 1st note of Dimension. With the new cd they have an amazing set slowing down only for awhile in anticipation of blowing everybody's mind again. Crowd surfing was constantly on! I hope they come to Finland soon - with The Heartless Bastards!

The concert was Amazing. Flat out amazing. They had a great stage presence and they played brilliantly. I can't wait to see them again the next time they come.

Andrew seemed a bit reserved at this show as i caught them both shows in N.Y. They are on a long tour with many dates close to one another so its no surprise he was laying low on some of those high notes . even so...it was awesome to catch them in Denver . Ogden Theatre is a great venue. Heartless Bastards have become a new favorite as her voice is undeniably infectuous. And NoNew2 have an incredible sound going as well. Highly reccomend catching this if you can. you'll be rocking all night long. I have been so impressed that im considering a run in Europe... maybe the Belgium to Netherlands stretch or from Netherlands to the Germany shows.

Wolfmother put on a tremendous show in Minneapolis. I had never seen them before but liked the first album a lot, so I bought tickets and then the new Cosmic Egg album. The new lineup definitely didn't disappoint! For fans of older hard rockers who haven't especially liked a lot of new bands in recent years (like me), give Wolfmother a try. They are really good.
Openers newno2 and Heartless Bastards were pretty good also---three very different bands but a good bill overall.

I attended the Wolfmother, Thenewno2, and heartless bastards concert a couple days ago. The show was amazing.

Wolfmother, of course, was epic. They played the favorites, white unicorn, woman, as well as some others, and saved Joker and the theif for the last song of their encore. Wolfmother is incredibly inergetic onstage, and they do a great live show. They have it all: great music, great vibe, and genuine interaction with the crowd. At the end of Joker they knocked over the drum set, and the lead singer crowed surfed into the pit!

Thenewno2 are a great band with a unique sound. I didn't know them ahead of the concert, but I really enjoyed their set and I plan to look into thier music further.

I honestly wasn't thrilled with The Heartless Bastards. They had a nice, pleasant sound, one song (a new one - Mountain) was especially nice. But on the whole I found them pretty boring. Kind of like a mix between tegan and sara (but with a deeper female voice) and every alt rock band that's on the radio. They also stayed pretty still and in their original places pretty much the entire time, which made watching them rather boring...I thought they had finished their set like five times before it was over.

Bottom line: awesome show

To start out the show the Newno2 start off with a powerful performance and ending their set with an extended jam. The Heartless Bastards blew away the entire crowd with a powerhouse performance of hits. Then finally Wolfmother. Andrew Stockdale lead the charge staring out with Dimension into an extended jam. The entire set was a mix of old hits and songs from the new album Cosmic Egg. At the end of the night Wolfmother came out for a three set encore end with Andrew jumping into the crowd and surfing across the fans.

This show was definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

WOLFMOTHER rocked so hard it hurt... so good. I saw Andrew Stockdale state in an interview that he believes that rock groups should deliver an all-out in-your-face intense performance when they come to the stage. He entirely fulfilled this expectation. I was surprised by their amazing sound quality in their live performance. The group that Stockdale has assembled as Wolfmother has such tight virtuoso playing abilities and chemistry between the band members that they sounded as great as they do on the studio recordings. I was also surprised by the amount extended solo sections and improvisation. This blended perfectly with the band's audience interaction that kept everyone's excitement level high for the entire concert. You could really see the band's love and enjoyment of performing as well.
Andrew Stockdale went crowd surfing and i got to touch him too.
It was awesome.

This concert was amazing. There was some technical problems mid way through the show but this didnt stop them from rocking and rolling. They are truly an amazing band and it showed last night. I would recommend this to anyone who likes some good classic rock.

If you are one of the bands (and there are many) who cant stay on stage for more than an hour and fifteen minutes and dont bring you A game to every show.. go see Wolfmother and take notes!!! I'm ruined for at least the next 7 shows I see! They know how to put on a show!

This was my 2nd Wolfmother concert. I saw them with the original lineup when they did their first tour at the BlueBird theater. The lead singer lost his voice so this time he proclaimed they were going to make it up to us, and they did. They started out just the way they did the first time I saw them with Dimension from the first release and they never let up. It was a nice mix of tunes all night with just a huge sound and relentless attack. The new band sounded fabulous and the second guitar gave things a full feel. Andrew Stockdale was a great front man and showman throughout as he pushed the crowd along. The closed their encore with The Joker which got everyone going.

At 51 yrs old this was the perfect concert to take my son for his 28th bday. We have done concerts over the years...Cheap Trick in his teens....BB King in his early 20's.....but Wolfmother was the concert we are still talking about! It was music at a whole new level!
I have been following Wolfmother for two years from UTube videos and on internet radio forums. I've been telling my son's who are musicians about Wolfmother and their listen to my Wolfmother CD's have drawn their interest. So the concert was a climax to the last two years. It's hard to explain...you need to give them a listen. A Deep Purple, Pink Floyd quality...but uniquely 'Wolfmother'. The audience was packed at the Clutch Cargo venue which is a great venue to experience and easy to find even coming from west Michigan. A lot of the Wolfmother audience was 50+ in age, with lots of 20's and 30's and some 18 year olds too! All people who love rock hard, high quality rock out rock music will love WOLFMOTHER! The day after the concert my son and I were saying we wished we could follow them to Chicago and go to their concert again!

Compared to the last time I saw Wolfmother, this was a whole new band! Great music, great energy...they actually looked like they enjoyed being up there! Last time I saw them in Chicago, with the old trio, as an audience I couldn't tell if they hated us, hated their music or hated each other but it was obvious that something was wrong. Unlike other reviews, I like seeing other opening acts. Some are good, some aren't but you never know. Heartless Bastards...eh, ok but redundant. Like Thenewno2 a lot! Great new CD, Cosmic Egg and enjoyed hearing it live even more!

No offense to Wolfmother or thenewno2, but we really went to the show just for The Heartless Bastards. Earlier this year we caught the Heartless Bastards at the Varsity and they were SO AMAZING, that they have moved right to the top of my list of bands. Of the three albums they have put out, there is not one band song among them, and I have never come across that in a band before, ever. No matter where The Bastards play the next time they come to town, we'll be there!

Wolfmother played like they were on fire again. I saw them at the Myth the last time they were in town with the old bandmembers and was skeptical as to whether the new band members Andrew Stockdale picked up could be as good as his former members. I am happy to say this show was every bit as good. Most people were on their feet from the time Wolfmother started to play until the final song. I was surprised that the State Theatre did not appear to be sold out since every seat in there is pretty good compared to larger venues like the Xcel or the Target Center but there were alot of open seats along the edges as you got further back.
