It was a good game, even though the outcome wasn't. The bands were terrific and the fireworks were some of the best we have seen. The only bad thing were the prices for food and refreshments. Way too expensive.

This event was fun, the staff were organized, lines weren't too long to get in, and our seats were plenty roomy since we had no one in front of us. The only issue was that there was a walkway in front of us, so people were constantly walking right in front of us. But it was still nice to just have a bar in front of us and plenty of leg room.

Took my son to his first college bowl game.
Seats were great, parking was ok and the stadium was not overly crowded. Fans were respectful (no cursing, screaming or fighting) and the game was entertaining.
We had room to spread out and we could see all the action perfectly.
We had a really good time.

Event tickets were highly overpriced for a minor bowl game! Additional surprise parking charge of $20.00 upon arrival at event! Traffic into parking was attricious with no parking attendants--took an excessive time to find an available space. Some attendees were occupying several parking spaces, making available spaces limited. Stadium is poorly designed--everyone gets a mediocre view because the playing field is so far away from where the seats are located. You could purchase lower cost tickets on the higher levels and get the same or better view that you would in the lower level seats. Don't waste your money in an attempt to get a better view. The first 30 or so rows were blocked off and covered with colored tarps. Unlike other bowls I have attended, it was impossible to hear the bands--the acoustics were terrible. Although my team was designated the "home team," we were seated on the visitor's side of he field. Although the price of admission included a military jet flyover and fireworks show, we were unable to see either because neither was done over the middle portion of the stadium. Instead both occurred where only those sitting on the other side of the stadium could see them. My seats, although in the lower portion of the stadium, were under the supporting structure of the stadium, which allowed a view of the field, but not the sky above my head. The announcers kept referring to charitable organizations that were affiliated with the bowl and stated that the bowl had "donated" a certain amount to each from the ticket proceeds. I do not like forced contributions so that event sponsors can feel good about and promote themselves. Very disappointing experience. After this, it is highly likely that I will not attend another bowl game--especially this bowl. The organizers, in my opinion are thieves.

Great competition, good kids and fun to be had all around. Took the Trolly to the stadium, that worked great. Officials reviewing everything was a drag. Beer overpriced and food.....OK, that sucked.

It was a very exciting atmosphere and the Aztecs show a lot of promise for the future.
I was surprised they had the field ready after it had been flooded the day before. Too bad the trolley system let us down. Everyone was urged to take the trolley due to concerns about the flooded parking lot but SD Transit seemed to be completely unaware that there was an event that night as the trolleys were few and far between, and they were all full by the time they passed through Hazzard Center. It took forever to get out of the stadium as well.

This game was great entertainment. The two teams were a really good match-up - lots of offense! Halftime was great - Navy Drum & Bugle Corps and the Marching Aztec Band.

I think it is VERY impoprtant to have te bands representing the universities be given the bulk of the time during halftime.

Great job by the stadium crew and Poinsettia Bowl team to get the field ready after the rains.

We were disappointed that the Gaslamp Parade was cancelled, but the Battle of the Bands and Luncheon on the USS Midway was wonderful.

Complant: I did'nt see any Poinsettias in the stadium.....

2010 Poinsettia Bowl was well done with Navy playing SDSU. Great football weather (50's) for San Diego. Old stadium definitely needs a facelift....just ask the Chargers! 2010 Holiday Bowl was a bit more memorable with Nebraska playing Washington at the same venue.

My girlfriend and I came down to San Diego for the Ponsettia Bowl. We took the trolley from Old Town and so we were able to get a few drinks before the game and not pay for parking. Even though the entire stadium was under two feet of water the night before the managed to pump everything out overnight and the quality of play did not suffer. The Aztecs beat Navy in front of a great crowd. All the SDSU and Navy fans were very respectful and everyone seemed to have a good time. The only negative was waiting about 45 minutes in huge lines to get back on the trolley at the end of the game. The seats were great and I would definitely recommend everyone to come to a bowl game in San Diego.

We had a great time at the game! The view was awesome, the stadium was awesome, the people were awesome, our team not so much.....only 1 problem-half-time didn't happen.
Technical difficulties ruined the halftime show-but the flyover and the fireworks made up for it!!! San Diego brought their A game-unfortunately we didn't! But we appreciate all the hard work-the stadium was flooded the night we arrived and was pumped out (about a million gallons of water) and ready to go by game time! Kudos to all the stadium staff!! :)

We purchased seats in section Field 43 Row seats 1-4. The operator said they were aisle seats but they were not. Also said no obstruction view which was also not true. Everyone in this section stood up to watch the entire game. The next section over everyone was sitting, except to cheer for the Aztecs. So we moved over to next section and sat in row 9 and the entire row was open. A little obstructed but at least could see and no one was standing in front of the entire game.

95% of the experience was good -- parking was easy and affordable, seats were great, field was in good shape, 2 good teams and all of the "extras" (fireworks, marching bands, halftime entertainment, etc) were good for the entire family. The only bummer was the fact that the stadium staff still can't get it right when it comes to manning and operating the concession stands. It always appears that no one knows what they are doing, the food is often cold, and the quality just isn't great. Never really thought you could mess up a hot dog or burger, but they seem to find ways. Next time I'll bring in my own food -- healthier, better tasting, and I maintain my own quality control.

The bowl organizers did a great job of getting the field and parking lot ready for the fans.
With the stadium under water just 24 hours prior to the kickoff it was an amazing feat to put on the event. The halftime show seemed very unorganized with fireworks going off while singers performed.

Kudos to the city crews for getting the flooded stadium ready for the game. Field looked great and held up well.

Great vib and crowd at the game. Lots of spirit and pride from both sides.

The two teams played well, especially the Aztecs. Excellent seats and view of the game.
